Initial surveys and planning for the site began in the mid-1970s before construction started in 2010. The building was completed in 2013, marking the realization of decades of development vision for the station area.
The tower serves as the focal point of Terminal City Motoyawata, bringing residents together through its central plaza and connected pedestrian pathways. This design encourages daily interaction and creates natural gathering spaces throughout the complex.
The building connects to three railway stations through elevated pedestrian walkways, making access straightforward from multiple transit lines. Its central location allows visitors to explore the surrounding area on foot and easily transition between transportation options.
The architects at Nihon Sekkei designed the building with flexible apartment sizes ranging from around 44 to 67 square meters to suit different household needs. This variety ensures the building serves residents at different life stages and family configurations.
