August Mentzel Tenement in Bydgoszcz, Vienna Secession building on Gdańska Street, Bydgoszcz, Poland.

The five-story August Mentzel Tenement displays architectural elements with leaf patterns, tendrils, masks, and asymmetrical arrangements of loggia and bay windows.

Rudolf Kern designed and constructed this residential building between 1903 and 1904, during a period of substantial urban development in Bydgoszcz.

The structure represents the Vienna Secession movement in Poland, incorporating flowing forms and decorative elements that defined early 20th-century architectural trends.

The tenement building, located at the intersection of Gdańska Street and Mickiewicz Alley, will soon transform into a four-star hotel with a restaurant.

The original staircase, stained glass works, and detailed woodwork remain preserved inside the building, maintaining its historical authenticity.
