High Breeze Farm

High Breeze Farm is a rural property spanning around 162 acres with multiple buildings set across Sussex County. The estate features a Federal-style main residence, barns, and various outbuildings arranged across the farmland.

The main house was built in 1828 and served as a family farm for more than a century. Additional structures were constructed between 1860 and 1935 during the Barrett family's long tenure managing the property.

The site shows how families lived and worked together across generations in this region. Visitors can observe how people managed daily tasks and farm operations without modern conveniences.

The property is part of Wawayanda State Park and offers visitors access to agricultural exhibits displayed on the grounds. A network of hiking trails allows exploration of the entire landscape.

The property operated without modern plumbing or heating until 1986, preserving how people lived in earlier times. This isolation offers insight into daily life over nearly two centuries within the same location.
