Culver Randel House and Mill

Culver Randel House is a historic residence and mill in Florida with a two-story wooden frame built on a stone foundation. The main structure features a hipped roof, three-sided porch, and clapboard siding, while the four-story mill building stands closer to the highway.

The structure was built around 1830 and the mill operated with different productions over time, including wood, wool, and flour processing. Later it focused on piano manufacturing until 1870.

The house displays 19th-century craftsmanship through interior details that reflect its era. Marble fireplaces, plaster cornices, and wooden moldings with lyre motifs show the skill of those who built it.

The property consists of two separate buildings at different locations, so plan your visit accordingly. It helps to know their positions beforehand to navigate the site effectively.

Restoration projects have revived the site with new stone steps and an enclosed garden on the grounds. Plans are underway to install a traditional oak waterwheel.
