La Rive Condominiums, Residential building in Northeast Minneapolis, US
La Rive Condominiums is a 29-story residential tower that rises approximately 312 feet and features postmodern architectural design. The units average around 1,740 square feet and typically include two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The project was completed in 1987 during a period when Minneapolis was opening its riverfront to new development. Its completion during this growth phase made it an early example of modern residential towers in the area.
The building shapes the character of the Nicollet Island/East Bank neighborhood and shows how Minneapolis evolved along the Mississippi River. It marks how the area transformed from industrial warehouses into a modern residential community.
The building is located on Bank Street SE in Northeast Minneapolis and offers easy access to the Nicollet Island neighborhood. Keep in mind that this is a private residential building not open to the general public.
