Lost World Caverns, Underground cave system in Lewisburg, West Virginia, United States.

Lost World Caverns contains extensive limestone formations with chambers reaching depths of 245 feet below ground, featuring stalactites and stalagmites throughout the passages.

The cave, discovered in 1942 by Virginia Polytechnic Institute, revealed prehistoric cave bear remains in 1967 and became a National Natural Landmark in 1973.

Musicians from Greenbrier East Band performed in the cave during a 1971 world record attempt when Bob Addis sat on the War Club stalagmite for 15 days.

The cave maintains a constant temperature of 52 degrees Fahrenheit, requiring visitors to bring appropriate clothing while exploring the half-mile loop of geological formations.

The musical group Sloppy Jane recorded their entire album Madison inside the cavern in 2021, utilizing the natural acoustics of the underground space.
