Trump Bay Street, Modern skyscraper in Jersey City, United States.
Trump Bay Street is a 50-story residential tower on the Hudson River waterfront in Jersey City, New Jersey, with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout. The building offers apartments alongside shared spaces such as fitness rooms, lounges, and outdoor areas facing the water.
Construction started in 2014 and was completed in 2016, during a period when the Jersey City waterfront was being converted from disused industrial land into a new residential area. This tower was among the early large-scale projects to mark that change along the Hudson shore.
Trump Bay Street stands in a part of Jersey City that has shifted from warehouses and docks to a neighborhood where many residents come from abroad. The building sits directly on the Hudson River waterfront, which gives it a different feel from the towers further inland.
The building is close to a ferry terminal and a rail station with direct connections to Manhattan, which makes it easy to reach from New York or to travel there from Jersey City. As a private residential building, its interior is not open to the public, but the waterfront path in front of it is freely accessible.
Part of the funding for the building came from Chinese investors through the EB-5 visa program, which offers US residency in exchange for investment in approved projects. This program was widely used for construction projects in the New York region during the 2010s, and this tower was one of many to benefit from it.
