Pizzuti Collection, Art museum in Short North Arts District, Columbus, United States.
The Pizzuti Collection is housed in a building near Goodale Park and displays contemporary artworks from around the world across three floors. The rotating exhibitions present different art forms and mediums throughout the roughly 18,000 square feet of gallery space.
The building served as headquarters for a commercial travelers organization from 1924 to 2008 before transforming into an art museum in 2013. This transformation marked a shift that turned the space from its original purpose into a venue for contemporary art.
The museum displays work from artists around the world, offering visitors a window into different artistic traditions and perspectives. You can find art forms and styles that go well beyond what you might see in typical American galleries.
The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and on Sundays from noon to 5 PM. The galleries are spread across three floors, so allow plenty of time to explore all the exhibition spaces.
The collection began with a purchase in Paris in 1977 when Ron Pizzuti acquired a painting by a Belgian artist that shaped his taste for art. Over time, the private collection grew to include around 2,400 contemporary works.
