Columcille Megalith Park, Celtic stone park in Northampton County, United States
Columcille Megalith Park is a woodland park spanning roughly 20 acres with over 90 stones arranged in various patterns. The stones originate from local quarries and are connected by unpaved trails that wind through the grounds.
William Cohea created the park following an intense dream he experienced while visiting Scotland's Isle of Iona. Since 1975 he assembled the stone formations as a personal project that later became a public destination.
The stone arrangements connect historical craft with spaces for reflection and local artistic practices.
The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, with maps available at the entrance. The unpaved trails can be slippery in wet weather, so sturdy footwear and care are helpful.
A stone bell tower named St. Oren serves as a place for quiet reflection within the park. This element merges the stone construction with a function of silent contemplation.
