Playa Bavaro

Playa Bavarô stretches along the eastern coast with fine white sand and water ranging from deep blue to light turquoise. The shoreline divides into distinct sections like Bibijagua, Corales, and Cortecito, each with its own access points and facilities.

The area grew from a modest fishing village to a popular beach destination after major resorts began opening in the 1980s. This transformation accelerated the region's growth and shaped its character.

The beach is easy to reach with various sections offering different facilities and amenities spread throughout the area. Shade and fresh water are available, but bring sun protection as the tropical sun is strong.

Sea turtles and tropical fish inhabit the shallow coral reefs just offshore in protected waters. These marine creatures are easy to spot from the sand, especially in the quieter coves.
