Loschbour man, Prehistoric human skeleton near Mullerthal, Luxembourg.

The Loschbour skeleton reveals a male individual measuring 160 centimeters in height with blue eyes and dark hair who lived during the Mesolithic period.

Amateur archaeologist Nicolas Thill discovered the complete human skeleton under a rock shelter along the Black Ernz river in October 1935.

DNA analysis of the skeleton indicates genetic markers common among hunter-gatherer populations, showing lactose intolerance and specific physical characteristics.

The National Museum of Natural History in Luxembourg City preserves and displays the skeletal remains for scientific research and public viewing.

Scientists determined the individual died between 6220 and 5990 BCE, making it the oldest human remains found in Luxembourg territory.
