Hobbitenango

Hobbitenango is an amusement park near Antigua Guatemala located at 2500 meters above sea level, spreading across 26 separate areas with restaurants, activities, and views of the Panchoy Valley. The site combines natural surroundings with entertainment facilities and features structures designed in fantasy architecture.

The park opened in 2015 as an eco-village project and later transformed into a fantasy-themed destination. This shift brought entertainment facilities while maintaining connection to the natural mountain setting.

The place blends local Guatemalan craftsmanship with fantasy design elements throughout its buildings and dining spaces. On weekends, artisans gather to sell handmade regional goods, giving visitors a chance to see traditional work firsthand.

A shuttle service connects the park to Antigua Guatemala every two hours, making arrival straightforward. Visitors should bring layers and warm clothing since the altitude can feel cool, especially in early mornings and evenings.

Three hobbit-style houses built from natural materials offer overnight stays without internet connection. Guests can experience the volcano views while intentionally disconnecting from modern technology for a different kind of retreat.
