Spiaggia di Buggerru stretches along a curved bay with fine sand framed by steep cliffs, with Mediterranean vegetation reaching down to the water behind them. A minerals museum displays tools from former mining operations and documents the long working history of this region.

The village grew in the 19th century as a mining community when minerals were heavily extracted and the harbor became an export center. A Spanish fortification above the bay recalls even older times when the coast needed protection from pirates.

The place carries traces of mining traditions that shaped daily life for generations and remain visible in buildings and local memory today. The old harbor installations tell of times when minerals from this location traveled the world and defined the village's economy.

The beach is accessible via Provincial Road 83 with parking near a pine forest suitable for walks and rest stops. Water access is straightforward and the bay provides shelter from waves, making swimming manageable for different skill levels.

At low tide the beach reveals additional flats and rock pools harboring shells and small sea creatures that form natural aquariums. These tidal pools appear and vanish daily, making each visit a different experience.
