Dante's Tomb, Memorial museum in Ravenna, Italy.
The neoclassical temple features a square base with a small dome, housing the marble sarcophagus containing the remains of Dante Alighieri.
In 1781, architect Camillo Morigia constructed the current tomb structure above the 15th-century burial site commissioned by Cardinal Luigi Valenti Gonzaga.
The museum contains eight exhibition rooms presenting manuscripts, artifacts, and multimedia displays that document Dante's literary contributions and lasting influence.
The memorial opens daily from 10:00 to 18:00, offering free admission to visitors who wish to explore both the tomb and adjacent Quadrarco gardens.
The iron gate created by Umberto Bellotto in 1921 encloses the garden where two individuals once invoked the 'strong arm' of the Savior.
