HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museum, Aerospace museum in Bengaluru, India
HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museum is an aerospace museum in Bengaluru featuring fighter jets, helicopters and engines across several exhibition halls. The collection includes both complete aircraft and individual components showing design principles and technical development.
The collection opened in 2001 on the grounds of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. It documents the development of the Indian aviation industry since its founding in the mid-20th century.
The center takes its name from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and displays machines built at this factory. Visitors see engines, fuselage sections and cockpits alongside panels explaining how these components work together in operation.
Access is from Old Airport Road, and the museum opens daily from 9 AM to 5 PM. Tickets are sold at the entrance, with different rates for adults and children under 12 years.
Inside the building stands a replicated air traffic control tower where visitors can follow the work of controllers. Next to it are simulators where guests test control procedures and gain insight into aircraft operation.
