The six-floor structure features glass-fiber mosaic facades, exhibition spaces, performance halls, a library, and connects to the city through large windows.
The museum opened in 2019 after relocating from its original location in Meymenet Han on Istiklal Street, where it operated from 2010 to 2018.
The museum exhibits a collection of 1,400 contemporary artworks by 400 artists, presenting both Turkish and international exhibitions throughout the year.
The museum provides free shuttle services from Taksim metro station and maintains two performance venues: the Karbon theatre and Sevgi Gönül Auditorium.
The building incorporates a central triple-height entrance gallery that creates a public pathway connecting Dolapdere street with a neighboring park.
