Disney's Riviera Resort
Disney's Riviera Resort is a hotel complex in Bay Lake, Florida, centered on European architecture and themes, offering room types from studios to large villas accommodating up to twelve guests. The grounds feature an Olympic-size pool, a splash area for children, multiple dining venues, and direct connection to parks via the Disney Skyliner.
The resort opened in December 2019 and was the first new Disney Vacation Club resort built since Aulani in Hawaii. Its design drew inspiration from Walt Disney's travels in Europe, particularly his visits to the French and Italian Riviera, which shaped the theme and artistic direction of the entire property.
The resort's name draws from the French and Italian Riviera, with artwork throughout depicting these European coastal regions. Guests can spot Disney story scenes woven into the murals and decor, blending classic character imagery with regional artistic styles, making it a place where European aesthetics meet Disney storytelling.
The resort uses Magic Bands, which function as a room key, park ticket, and payment card, streamlining your visit. Guests receive entry to parks an hour before official opening and can stay later on select days, helping avoid long lines.
The Skyliner stations are decorated with massive murals made from over a million tiny tiles depicting scenes from Disney films like Peter Pan and Tangled. These elaborate art installations are popular with visitors for photography and showcase attention to detail beyond typical hotel amenities.
