Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, Dark water ride in Mexico Pavilion, Epcot, US
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros is a boat ride inside the dark interior of the Aztec pyramid at the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot theme park, Florida. Visitors follow a story in which two animated characters travel through different Mexican landscapes searching for a third, using a mix of screens, moving figures, and light effects.
The attraction replaced an older ride in 2007 that educated visitors about Mexico, introducing instead the three animated characters from a 1940s film. In 2015, moving figures previously used in another attraction were installed at the end of the route.
The attraction combines a 1944 Disney film with Mexican settings, using bright colors and regional music from across the country. Visitors hear Spanish-language dialogue and melodies that reflect the Latin American heritage of the characters and create a festive mood.
The ride lasts about seven minutes and takes place in relatively shallow water without sudden movements, making it accessible to most visitors. Guests board the boats from a covered loading area that can accommodate wheelchairs when needed.
The original ending figure was only shown on a screen until moving figures from a 1970s show were refurbished and installed here. Those figures had previously stood in another park for several decades before moving to this location.
