Riverston

Riverston is a mountain park with steep hillsides, varied plant life, and deep valleys that flow toward the Thelgamu-Oya River. The land features forests and open areas that create a patchwork of different environments.

A four-wheel-drive vehicle is required to travel the rough pathways across the land. The best time to visit is during drier months when the tracks are more passable.

The flat summit of Manigala mountain resembles an elephant spine and offers views across the Knuckles mountain range and surrounding valleys. This unusual shape is visible from far away and serves as a distinctive landmark in the landscape.
