Théâtre National Daniel Sorano, National theatre in Dakar, Senegal.

The Daniel Sorano National Theatre features a modern Italian-style stage design with seating capacity for more than 1000 spectators in central Dakar.

President Léopold Sédar Senghor inaugurated the theatre in 1965, naming it after Franco-Senegalese actor Daniel Sorano who gained recognition for his Cyrano de Bergerac performance.

The theatre encompasses three independent structures: the National Ballet Ensemble, the National Drama Company, and the Traditional Lyrical Ensemble, each contributing to Senegalese arts.

Located at 45 Boulevard de la République, the theatre operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with varying entrance fees for different events.

The 'Sorano Chez-Vous' program brings theatre performances to different locations across Senegal, extending cultural access beyond the main venue.
