Surfside Pier, Theme park on North Wildwood boardwalk, United States
Surfside Pier is an amusement park on the North Wildwood boardwalk featuring roller coasters, water rides, and carnival attractions overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The complex includes the Ocean Oasis Water Park and numerous carnival games designed for visitors of all ages.
The pier was founded in 1969 when Bill and Will Morey Sr purchased boardwalk lots and opened a fiberglass slide called Wipe Out. This modest beginning grew into a large amusement complex that expanded through the following decades.
The pier embodies the New Jersey shore tradition of combining amusement rides with oceanfront recreation. Visitors experience the characteristic American summer entertainment style that has defined this coastline for generations.
The park is most active during summer months, with many attractions also open on weekends during spring and fall. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes as the grounds are extensive and coastal weather can change quickly.
The Sea Serpent roller coaster performs multiple inversions while offering spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and North Wildwood coastline. This combination of thrills and ocean views makes it a particularly popular attraction with visitors.
