Bulicame
Bulicame is a thermal park near Viterbo featuring natural hot springs that emerge from the ground. The site has several bathing pools of varying sizes and temperatures, surrounded by green spaces and basic facilities for visitors.
This site was known in ancient times and was valued by Romans for the therapeutic properties of its waters. Over the centuries, it remained a place where people came to benefit from the healing power of the mineral springs.
The name comes from Latin meaning "boiling water" and reflects the hot springs that have flowed here for centuries. Today, visitors can observe how locals and travelers continue to use these warm pools, drawn to the mineral-rich waters for bathing and relaxation.
The site is accessible year-round, though warmer months offer the best experience for bathing. Visitors should bring swimwear, gloves, and slip-resistant shoes, as areas around the hot springs can be slippery.
Water emerges from the earth at temperatures around 38 to 40 degrees Celsius (100 to 104 Fahrenheit) and maintains this warmth naturally. This constant temperature phenomenon results from geological activity deep beneath the surface, creating a one-of-a-kind bathing experience without artificial heating.
