Cocoon Village is an accommodation facility with suspended spheres nestled between rock formations and pine forests in Porto-Vecchio. The structures offer views toward the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio and Ospedale lake while operating entirely without standard utilities like electricity or running water.
The facility opened in 2016, introducing a new form of accommodation to Porto-Vecchio with its innovative spherical structures. The design incorporated certified engineering standards to ensure the buildings could withstand harsh weather conditions.
Breakfast service here features regional Corsican products, connecting guests with local food traditions through specially prepared baskets served on the terrace. This offering reflects island gastronomy and allows visitors to experience how local people eat and celebrate their food culture.
Access to the lodging requires physical effort through a climbing route and multiple zip line segments, so guests should be comfortable with this type of activity. Keep in mind there are no electrical connections or water pipes, and the site relies on solar power and natural resources for basic functions.
Each of the four sleeping units hangs roughly 30 meters above ground and becomes reachable through climbing gear and rope systems. This setup connects all units together and creates a sort of elevated village that sits completely apart from the forest floor.
