Yogi Bear's Water Zone
Yogi Bear's Water Zone is a water park in Rockbridge County featuring shallow pools, water slides, and splash areas designed for children of different ages. The grounds have bright colors and clear safety signage, with lifeguards stationed throughout to watch over swimmers during busy summer days.
The water zone was developed as part of the larger Jellystone Camp Resort near Natural Bridge to give families a destination for outdoor play and relaxation. Water attractions were added as an expansion to the traditional camping site to draw more visitors during the warmer months.
The water zone draws on the Yogi Bear cartoon character, whose imagery appears throughout the grounds on signs and decorations that create a playful atmosphere. Families often return year after year, building traditions around their visits and making this a gathering place for shared outdoor memories.
Bring sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water since the park gets hot during summer months. Shaded areas and picnic tables are located nearby, making it easy to rest and eat without leaving the grounds.
The park sits near the Upper James River, a popular waterway for outdoor activities, allowing visitors to combine their time here with river adventures. Many campers use the water zone as a break from other pursuits like fishing and boating nearby.
