Tropic Falls at OWA

Tropic Falls at OWA is a water recreation park in Foley featuring slides, lazy rivers, and play areas spread across a large complex. The facility combines indoor and outdoor spaces through an innovative roof and wall system that opens and closes to connect both sections.

The complex was developed by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and opened in 2022 as an expansion of their entertainment offerings. This move marked a transition from gaming operations to family-friendly tourism venues.

The name OWA derives from Creek language meaning big water, reflecting the indigenous connection to the Gulf of Mexico waters.

Visitors should expect wet conditions and bring swimwear and towels. Lockers and storage areas are available to keep personal belongings secure while enjoying the attractions.

The roof and wall system can open or close depending on weather to provide guests with comfortable conditions in both areas. This technology lets the park personalize operations based on weather patterns throughout the day.
