Bamahenge, Sculpture garden in Baldwin County, United States
Bamahenge is an art installation made of fiberglass monoliths arranged in a circular pattern measuring about 104 feet across and rising 21 feet high. The structure stands near Barber Marina and forms a detailed replica of the English stone circle.
Artist Mark Cline created this replica in 2012 for George Barber. The project was originally planned for the Vintage Motorsports Museum but was relocated to Barber Marina instead.
The installation follows the same astronomical alignments as the original Stonehenge, with the sunrise visible through its entrance during summer solstice mornings. Visitors can experience this connection to ancient astronomy by observing the sun's path on certain days.
The site is freely accessible through Barber Parkway and well signed from US Route 98 and County Road 95. Visitors can walk around freely and view the installation from all sides.
The grounds hold additional fiberglass sculptures including life-sized dinosaurs and knights hidden among trees, plus a 50-foot floating woman figure in the water. These mysterious artworks encourage visitors to explore the entire property and discover unexpected creations.
