Haad Yang

Haad Yang is a sand beach in Surat Thani stretching about 800 meters (2,600 feet) along the coast with white sand and clear blue water. Coconut palms sway gently in the sea breeze throughout the shoreline.

This beach was a small fishing community in the 1980s before gradually becoming a travel destination. The transformation emphasized sustainable development to keep its natural character intact.

Local fishermen continue to use traditional net casting and small boat fishing here, connecting visitors with authentic coastal Thai practices.

The best time to visit is from November to April when the weather is dry and stable. During these months conditions are ideal for swimming and water activities.

Natural rubber trees grow directly on the sandy shore here, creating a rare blend of coastal and forest environments. This uncommon mix makes the place botanically distinctive and sets it apart from typical beach destinations.
