Haad Yuan

Haad Yuan is a sand beach in Ban Tai stretching about 500 meters with white sand bordered by palm trees and granite rock formations at each end. The shoreline features shallow swimming areas mixed with rocky zones that create distinct sections along the coast.

The beach served as a landing point for traditional wooden fishing boats from the 1960s until tourism development began to reshape the area. This fishing heritage was central to how the location developed over several decades.

The beach serves as a gathering place for local families and fishermen, where daily routines and seasonal celebrations reflect the community's connection to the water. This role has shaped how people here relate to the coastline as both a livelihood and a social space.

A concrete path from the main road provides easy access to the beach, with motorcycle rentals and food stalls near the entrance. Arriving early in the morning offers the best conditions and fewer crowds for a more enjoyable visit.

At low tide, natural pools form among the rocks, filling with water and creating small lagoons inhabited by tropical fish. These temporary aquatic spaces offer visitors a chance to observe local marine life up close without leaving the beach.
