Fins

Fins is a coastal beach and residential area in southeastern Oman with white sand, pebbled sections, and turquoise waters. The location combines a modern housing development with a traditional fishing settlement.

The area began as a small fishing community and gradually transformed into a structured residential neighborhood through Oman's modernization efforts. This shift occurred over recent decades while preserving traditional practices alongside new development.

The beach functions as a gathering spot where local families organize barbecues and spend time outdoors together. The blend of newly built homes and traditional fishing practices shapes daily life here.

The location is roughly two hours south of Muscat and is reached via the Amerat-Sur Highway followed by dirt roads to camping areas. Basic utilities are available in some sections, though visitors should check local conditions before planning longer stays.

The beach features distinctive flat circular stones that create natural patterns when sunlight reflects across the water surface. These smooth pebbles give the shoreline an unusual character rarely seen on other nearby coasts.
