Grutas de Tolantongo, Natural cave and hot springs complex in Hidalgo, Mexico

Local indigenous communities discovered these thermal waters centuries ago, using them for medicinal purposes before the site opened to tourism in 1975.

The site includes five hotel sections, restaurants serving Mexican dishes, camping areas, and requires cash payments as credit cards are not accepted.
The cave system contains a thermal river with temperatures reaching 38°C, allowing visitors to swim through naturally heated underground passages.
