Siangau Beach

Siangau Beach is a sandy shore covering roughly 5 hectares, bordered by coconut plantations with large granite rocks scattered across the beach and facing the water. The setting mixes natural features with fishing activities that shape daily use of the space.

The beach sits on the Bangka Belitung Islands, a region shaped by tin mining through the 20th century that drove economic changes. This mining history influenced how coastal areas developed and how people used the land and waters here.

Local fishermen work here using traditional methods, selling their daily catch directly to visitors and nearby restaurants, shaping daily life along the shore.

Visitors can rent colorful wooden gazebos on site and use public facilities including restrooms and parking areas. Conditions here are straightforward, so come prepared for basic amenities.

Punai Island sits opposite the shore and acts as a natural barrier that keeps the water calm. This formation makes swimming and wading in shallow areas safer and more comfortable for visitors.
