Emeishan National Park

Mount Emei extends across 154 square kilometers, featuring dense forests, waterfalls, and hiking trails leading to the 3,099-meter Golden Summit peak.

The establishment of Baoguo Temple in the first century AD marked the beginning of Buddhist presence on Mount Emei during the Eastern Han Dynasty.

More than one hundred temples and monasteries dot the mountainside, making Mount Emei one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains in Chinese religious tradition.

Cable cars transport visitors to key locations while marked trails accommodate different hiking abilities, with routes taking between one to three days to complete.

Local monkeys regularly approach visitors along the trails, requiring specific precautions and secure storage of food during mountain expeditions.
