Parque del Agua, Recreational park in Los Patios, Colombia
Parque del Agua, also known as Ecoparque Cúcuta, is a recreation park featuring a wave pool, five water slides, a lazy river, and synthetic sports courts spread across its grounds. The facility sits at kilometer 1 and combines water attractions with areas for sports and outdoor play.
The site began as Parque San Rafael before its transformation and official opening as Ecoparque Comfanorte on April 14, 2011. This change marked the start of its role as a water recreation destination for the area.
The park teaches visitors about protecting nature through hands-on programs and activities set within green spaces. People come here not just to play, but to understand how the environment works and why it matters.
Children under three and adults over 65 get free entry, with the park open Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00. Arriving early, especially on weekends, helps you avoid long lines at the popular water slides and pools.
A monitored lake on the grounds lets families rent canoes to paddle and watch local plants and animals. This quieter activity balances the energy of the slides and wave pools with a chance to explore nature.
