National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help

The National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help stands along Roxas Boulevard, featuring a Modern Romanesque structure with a capacity for 11,000 worshippers.

Built between 1953 and 1958, the church received its sacred icon from Germany in 1906, which was temporarily hidden during World War II Japanese occupation.

The shrine conducts masses in Tagalog and English, attracting 150,000 weekly devotees who participate in services and novenas, particularly on Wednesdays.

The church operates 24 hours daily, offering multiple daily masses, with a carillon of 24 bells ringing 15 minutes before each service or novena.

The shrine houses the Bantayog ng mga Desaparecido monument, recognized by UNESCO, commemorating victims of human rights violations during the Marcos era.
