Nautical Base of Roucas Blanc

Roucas Blanc Nautical Base is a water sports center on Marseille's Mediterranean coast with modern buildings and open spaces facing the sea. The facility has different areas for sailing, kayaking, and windsurfing, with direct water access and year-round infrastructure.

The base was established in the late 1970s alongside the adjacent Prado seaside park and gradually developed into a regional sports hub. Since then, the infrastructure has expanded several times to welcome more visitors and instructors.

The name comes from a nearby rock formation, and the place blends water sports with the rhythm of local seaside life. You'll see sailors and windsurfers sharing the waters with people enjoying the beach on foot.

Visitors can find equipment rental and professional instruction for all skill levels from beginners to advanced. The best time to visit is usually in the morning when the weather is more stable and the area is less crowded.

The site hosted the sailing competition during the 2024 Olympic Games, which brought significant investment to the facilities. This international recognition has placed the center on the world map of water sports destinations.
