MBS Nonprofit City, Planned nonprofit-focused urban development in Irqah neighborhood, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This 840-acre planned development encompasses educational institutions, creative centers, art galleries, a science museum, conference facilities, and residential spaces designed to foster community collaboration and social innovation within a purpose-built environment.
The project was announced in November 2021 by the MiSK Foundation under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's leadership, aiming to create the world's first city entirely dedicated to nonprofit activities and social development.
The city emphasizes values of social responsibility, civic engagement, and community participation, hosting cultural events, workshops, and seminars that promote awareness of nonprofit work and social responsibility among residents and visitors.
The city operates Monday through Thursday and on Sundays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, located near Wadi Hanifa creek in Riyadh's Irqah neighborhood, accessible via major transportation routes.
It houses the first regional office of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in the Middle East, establishing an international partnership for research and philanthropic innovation in the region.
