Madame Tussauds Las Vegas is a wax museum on the Las Vegas Strip inside The Venetian hotel. Figures of actors, musicians, athletes and other famous people fill themed rooms, each posed with clothing and props that match their public image.
The Las Vegas branch of the wax attraction opened in 1999, following a chain started in London in the early 1800s by Marie Tussaud. Over time it moved within the city and updated its figures to reflect changing pop culture.
Inside, visitors treat the wax figures as stand-ins for real stars: they hug them, stage conversations and take playful selfies. The Speakeasy lounge recreates a hidden bar from old Las Vegas, giving a glimpse of the city’s past entertainment style.
The museum is easy to reach on foot from the Strip or by monorail, bus, taxi or car, with parking available at The Venetian. Wear comfortable shoes since exploring every room and posing for photos often takes a couple of hours.
Aside from the wax figures, the museum includes a short 4D jungle ride based on the Jumanji films. Many visitors do not expect to leave a celebrity gallery and suddenly find themselves on a moving seat surrounded by special effects.
