Flushing Fields, Sports complex in Flushing, Queens, United States

Flushing Fields is a sports complex spanning several acres in Queens near Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. The property includes baseball diamonds, tennis courts, basketball courts, handball courts, and a playground with modern equipment.

In 1921, the Memorial Field of Flushing Corporation purchased former farmland and established it as a sports ground for high school teams. This conversion transformed agricultural property into public athletic space.

The Flushing War Memorial in the southern section honors residents who died in World War I, with their names inscribed on bronze plaques. This memorial connects the sports facilities to local history and remembrance.

The various playing fields are spread across the grounds, so you will walk between different areas to see the full range of facilities. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather if you plan to explore all sections.

The property is divided into three distinct sections with separate names: Memorial Field, Flushing High School Memorial Field, and Leonardo Ingravallo Playground. This division reflects how each area developed under different management and purposes.
