Built between 1912 and 1913, the apartment complex started with twelve luxury units, equipped with steam heat and art glass windows at monthly rates of 60 dollars.
The building combines Prairie School architecture with Bungalow and American Craftsman styles, reflecting early 20th-century residential design preferences in the Midwest.
The gated community contains twenty townhomes and apartments, ranging from 900 to 1400 square feet, with modern amenities including an on-site workout facility.
The property survived a period of urban decline in the 1960s and received National Register of Historic Places designation in 1983, preventing its planned demolition.
