The mosque complex was constructed in the 14th century above the Quraysh cemetery and served the local community for several centuries. It suffered severe damage in 2014 and has remained inoperable since then.
The mosque was named after Prophet Seth, recognized in Islamic tradition as the third son of Adam, whose shrine drew the devotion of local worshippers. This connection to a revered figure gave the place deep spiritual meaning for the Muslim community.
