Bukit Nanas, Protected rainforest area in central Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The forest reserve spans 9.3 hectares of tropical vegetation at the base of Kuala Lumpur Tower, containing native flora and fauna species.
The area received its name in the 1860s when defenders planted pineapples around a military stockade during the regional Klang War conflicts.
The forest reserve functions as an educational center with a forestry museum teaching visitors about Malaysian rainforest ecosystems and conservation methods.
Visitors can access multiple walking trails through the reserve between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily without requiring entrance permits or fees.
This forest reserve represents the last remaining natural rainforest within the central district of Kuala Lumpur, supporting urban biodiversity through multiple vegetation layers.
