Lost World of Tambun, Water park in Sunway City Ipoh, Malaysia.
Lost World of Tambun is a water park in Sunway City Ipoh, Malaysia, spread across ten themed zones with 88 attractions set against limestone hills. The complex combines water slides, wave pools and a themed area with rainforest scenes created through artificial rock formations and plantings.
The park opened in November 2004 and introduced the first water-based indoor ride in Malaysia within the Malayana Rainfortress section. The operating company expanded the site in the following years, adding more themed zones and animal enclosures.
Tin Valley presents the mining legacy through reconstructed scenes showing how workers extracted tin from the ground in earlier decades. Visitors walk past tools and machinery that remind them of the industry that once shaped the region around Ipoh.
The park requires specific swimwear for water attractions and offers rental tubes for the Adventure River. The site sits among natural rock formations, so some paths include steps and uneven terrain.
A man-made river stretches 660 meters through the grounds and ranks as the longest of its kind in Malaysia. The ride takes around 20 minutes and passes along the natural limestone walls that frame the park.
