The mint-green mansion displays numerous antique furnishings, including carved doors, gilded walls, and mother-of-pearl inlaid furniture throughout its grand rooms.
Built in the late 19th century, this residence belonged to Chung Keng Quee, a merchant and leader who represented the Chinese-Malay cultural integration of the era.
The mansion presents traditional wedding ceremonies, clothing exhibits, and daily life scenes that represent the Chinese-Malay Peranakan community customs and traditions.
Located at 29 Lr Gereja, the mansion provides guided tours in multiple languages, with photography permitted in designated areas during opening hours.
The mansion connects to both an ancestral temple and the Straits Chinese Jewellery Museum, creating a three-venue complex of Peranakan heritage.
