Lucanas Province

Lucanas Province extends across 14,494 square kilometers of mountainous terrain, containing twenty-one districts with Puquio serving as its capital center point.

The territory holds over twenty archaeological locations, including Aya Muqu and Chipaw Marka, which demonstrate the presence of pre-Columbian civilizations in this region.

The population includes 42.37 percent Quechua speakers and 57.15 percent Spanish speakers, reflecting the strong indigenous presence throughout the districts.
