IMG Worlds of Adventure, Indoor amusement park in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
IMG Worlds of Adventure is a temperature-controlled indoor theme park on Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road in the City of Arabia, Dubai. It holds six themed worlds: Cartoon Network, Marvel, Lost Valley, IMG Boulevard, Haunted Town and IMG Kid Zone, with 22 rides and attractions, 25 retail stores and 28 food outlets. Its dark red coaster track with yellow-gold columns rises above a green-framed arched enclosure.
The park opened its doors in August 2016, after financing from Abu Dhabi two years earlier enabled the construction phase. The project arose as a response to the desire for air-conditioned leisure venues in the region.
The park's name comes from the initials of founders Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari, not the talent agency. Its six worlds include two licensed brands, Cartoon Network and Marvel, alongside four IMG-created zones: IMG Boulevard, Lost Valley, Haunted Town and IMG Kids Zone.
Climate-controlled halls provide comfortable conditions in any season, and signs throughout all themed areas help with navigation. Children under 105 centimeters (41 inches) require adult accompaniment to gain entry.
Lost Valley displays life-sized dinosaur animatronics alongside fast-paced roller coasters, including the Velociraptor and Predator rides. The mechanisms move heads, tails, and limbs of the figures during the journey through prehistoric settings.
