Palacio Ross

Palacio Ross is a three-story mansion in central Valparaíso featuring stone foundations, reinforced masonry walls, and Oregon pine flooring throughout. The facade displays ornamental reliefs around the entrance staircase with porticos, and the roof is covered in galvanized iron.

The building was constructed in 1888 by Juana Ross de Edwards as a residence for her brother Agustín Ross, a prominent merchant and businessman. The Chilean government designated it a national monument in 1976, recognizing its historical importance.

The building has served as home to the Club Alemán since 1926, hosting German-Chilean cultural events and gatherings in its ornate interior spaces. Visitors can experience how this heritage continues to shape the social activities and traditions that unfold within these walls.
