Remodelación San Borja, Urban redevelopment complex in Santiago, Chile
The San Borja Redevelopment consists of 21 residential towers between Alameda Bernardo O'Higgins and Diagonal Paraguay streets, incorporating green spaces and commercial areas.
Construction began in 1969 during Eduardo Frei Montalva's government, replacing the former San Borja Hospital site, which was demolished in 1977.
The San Borja Park features sculptures including a bust of Nicolae Balcescu and a monolith honoring former Santiago mayor Manuel Fernández Díaz.
The complex connects to Universidad Católica and Baquedano metro stations, providing residents with direct access to Santiago's public transportation system.
The towers house approximately 10,000 residents and operate with independent water supply and heating systems.
