Iglesia de la Preciosa Sangre, Santiago de Chile, Roman Catholic church in Plaza Brasil district, Santiago, Chile.

Iglesia de la Preciosa Sangre is a church with a Latin cross floor plan and a central nave adorned with stations of the cross along its interior walls. The building stands at Compania 2226 on the northwestern side of Plaza Brasil.

Construction began in 1875 under architect Eusebio Chelli and was completed in 1905, with dedication ceremonies held in 1906. The project was part of Santiago's expansion during the late 1800s.

The church served as a parish church for the workers and craftsmen of the neighborhood and continues to function as a spiritual center for the local community today. Visitors notice the simple yet dignified design that reflects the needs of the people it was built to serve.

The best way to reach the church is on foot through the downtown streets, as it sits in an easy-to-access location within a residential neighborhood. It is advisable to visit during normal opening hours to ensure you can enter the building.

The church originally housed a Cavaille-Coll organ, one of the rare surviving examples of this famous French organ builder in South America. This instrument was a precious part of the church's heritage and reflects Santiago's international connections in the early 1900s.
