Iglesia de Santa Rosa de Lima, Freirina, Neoclassical church in Freirina, Chile

The Iglesia de Santa Rosa de Lima is a wooden church built from 1869 on Freirina's Plaza de Armas, with a basilical plan of three naves. The taller central nave has a barrel-vault ceiling, and six pillars on each side carry semicircular arches that divide the naves. It has been closed since 2001 because of its poor state of conservation.

Construction began in 1869, bringing together contributions from local residents and state funding under architect Santiago Meneses. The project represented a combined effort to establish a lasting religious structure for the growing community.

The church is dedicated to Saint Rose of Lima, a Peruvian saint, and its name reflects that devotion. Since 2001 it has been closed because of its poor state of conservation, so the building no longer hosts ceremonies. In late 2009 a reconstruction project was launched under Chile's Puesta en Valor del Patrimonio programme.
