San Luis

San Luis is a district in Lima Province and part of the capital's urban area. The territory occupies a compact area at about 175 meters elevation in the eastern section of the metropolitan region.

The area became an official independent district of Lima Province in 1968 under President Fernando Belaunde. This administrative establishment separated it from neighboring territories and created a new governance unit.

The National Sports Village in San Luis contains facilities for athletics, cycling, volleyball, swimming, softball, and baseball training programs.

The district connects to several neighboring areas and is served by local roads and transport links. Its location makes it easily accessible and allows straightforward connections to surrounding neighborhoods.

The district houses a major National Sports Village where national teams conduct training and several sports federations maintain their offices. The facilities serve multiple sports including track and field, volleyball, and swimming.
